Hi, I’m Roz.
v. perpetual beta · last updated: today, probably
I'm trying, much like you.
I work in tech marketing, which means I spend a lot of time writing things that sound important about things that move fast. This site is the opposite of that.
A Well Spent Life started because I kept forgetting things. Mostly the small things, which turn out to be all the things (it’s the ADHD, more on this later). The texture of a good afternoon. The exact reason a trip changed something in me. The book that made me feel less alone on a Tuesday. I wanted somewhere to put all of it before it disappeared into me.
This is more of a documentation than a manual. I have no idea what I’m doing, but I’ve decided the not-knowing is worth recording too.
I’m Filipina, writing from a country where the malls are air-conditioned cathedrals and the traffic will test your relationship with God. I travel when I can, read more than I probably should, and have 5 cats who could not care less if my Trello cards are updated as long as we cuddle and play every day (we do). I journal with too many pens and not enough pages.
The name means a few things. Showing up fully. Being intentional with money. Deserving good things. And sometimes, being completely poured out, because you gave everything, and it was worth it. Spent because it cost you. Well spent because you’d do it again.
This is where I write about travel, money, adulting, and the tech world I work in. It’s also, before anything else, a personal record. Proof that this life has been, despite everything, still very wonderful.
Anyway! Thanks for dropping by. 🙂
